FAQ

Where does the name WTFIGO come from?

When I'm troubleshooting a development problem, I often think "WTF is going on here"? So WTFIGO was a working name for the project that just stuck. However, I'm planning to change the name shortly to something with less implied profanity. :)

How can I use WTFIGO on a project and make sure it doesn't get checked in to source control?

See the configuration page for details on how to configure WTFIGO using Tomcat's common web.xml file. You can use SVN or CVS ignore commands to make sure you don't check the jar in to your project's source control system.

Does this work with WebSphere or WebLogic?

It should because it is largely straight J2EE magic. It is mostly tested in Tomcat 5.0 and 5.5, Jetty, and JBoss but has been reported to work in WebLogic.
